Thank You!
On behalf of the Village of Bethune, we would like to extend our sincere thank you to all Village residents for your patience and understanding during the recent weather event. Your co-operation, while crew worked diligently to clear roads and make the Village accessible again, was truly appreciated.
The winter of 2025–2026 has been an unusual one for our area, bringing a mix of heavy snowfall, melting ice, freezing rain, and rapidly changing conditions. These challenges have required extra time and effort from everyone.
A special thank you as well to those who stepped up to help neighbours and local residents with snow clearing and other assistance. Your kindness and community spirit make our Village a truly the place that we all can call home.
We are grateful for your continued support and co-operation.
We would also like to extend a heartfelt thank you to our Public Works staff for keeping the roads cleared of snow and ice, ensuring everything is in working order, making repairs as soon as they are needed. We truly appreciate your dedication to maintaining all equipment to make sure it is in proper working condition, repaired, and ready to operate.
Your hard work and commitment do not go unnoticed—thank you for everything you do!

SaskTel Smart Water Meter Solution
The Village of Bethune is looking to improve water resource management, reduce water loss and streamline billing processes. SaskTel’s Smart Water Meter solution provides an all-encompassing strategy for upgrading the Village’s water management system using cutting-edge technology to automate meter readings, ensuring accuracy, and eliminating manual errors. This automated system will improve safety and optimize operations, significantly decreasing the time and effort needed for data gathering and entry. As a result of these enhancements, you will experience fewer mistakes, more precise billing, and allow the Village staff to concentrate on more essential daily responsibilities. SaskTel’s Smart Water Meter solution provides hourly readings and flags irregular consumption patterns, which the Village can then notify the user of and potentially save hundreds of dollars in water loss.
In the spring/summer, the Village will be coordinating with the residents’ dates and times to install the new device. Stay tuned for more information.
