Outstanding Utility Billings

Those properties with outstanding water and sewer balances will be receiving notice in the coming weeks that, if they are not paid in full, they will be transferred to and form part of your property taxes.

Please contact the office to either pay the balance in full or arrange a schedule payment plan to clear accounts.

Thank you.

2025 Assessment Roll Open – Revaluation

2025 Revaluation

Provincial legislation requires that the assessed value of all properties within Saskatchewan be updated every four years. 2025 is a revaluation year and property assessments will be updated to reflect a new valuation base date of January 1, 2023. The legislated base date means that 2025 values reflect a property’s value as of January 1, 2023.

As stated in The Municipalities Act, you have 60 days to appeal the assessment from when the assessment roll is open (February 7, 2025 to April 11, 2025). You will be receiving your assessment in the mail in the coming week.

Appeals may be filed if you believe there has been an error in:

  • The assessed value;
  • The classification of your property;
  • The contents of the assessment roll; and
  • The assessment notice.

You may wish to meet with the Village Administrator to discuss the appeal prior to completing the notice of appeal form.

It is your responsibility to make a case to the board of revision when you prepare a notice of appeal form. It may be as simple as proving that dimensions in the current assessment are wrong or that a property classification is not correct. The case may be as complex as proving the value of a property is not fairly assessed compared to another property that is similar.
