Planned Power Outages
The Village of Bethune office has been advised that there will be a planned power outage next week.
The outage is planned for the whole Village of Bethune on Tuesday, August 20 from 1 to 5. A second planned outage will be on Thursday August 22 from 9 to noon. The Thursday, August 22 will only affect the 600 and 700 blocks of Main Street on the South side of the tracks.
August Council Meeting – Rescheduled
The August Council Meeting that was cancelled for August 13, 2024 has been rescheduled to Monday, August 19, 2024 at 7:00 p.m. in the Council Chambers.
Waterline damage at McLean Park
Please be advised there is a waterline damage near the Splash Pad, therefore the water for the Park is now off until further notice. Municipal office will provide an update as soon as the waterline is back and running. Thank you for your understanding.
Road closure on Rink Avenue
Please be advised, due to a new construction at McLean Park for Bethune Daycare center there will be a temporary road disruption between Prairie Street and entrance to the park.
Going further, as construction progresses, the road will be closed off for the period of time it needed.
Please use different route for travel when necessary.

Waterline update
Please Note:
Further to our July 3 Post, we are trying to keep the water on at the splash pad for as long as possible instead of shutting it off for the entire time work is being done on the water lines. As a result, the water may be shut off without prior notice, if a line is hit or something unforeseen happens. Thank you for your patience.
Bethune Childcare Updates
Last week, the Bethune Childcare Board made the exciting announcement that work will begin this week on the site adjacent to McLean Park.
The Village of Bethune Budget for 2024 includes the capital cost of approximately $140,000 to extend the sewer lines as well as the water lines to the property line of the Bethune Childcare Center. This work also includes relocating the line to the spray park.
PLEASE NOTE: As a result of the above noted work, as well as work on the facility, please be cautious in the area of the park and ball diamonds. Also, watch the Village website and Facebook page for notices where we will have to shut the water off at the spray park for various periods of time.
